The IPAA ACT Conference 'Fit for the Future?' was held on Wednesday 7 November and included a keynote address from David Thodey AO, the Chair of the Independent Review of the Australian Public Service.
David's address was followed by a conversation on stage with Peter Woolcott AO, APS Commissioner and Renée Leon PSM, Secretary of the Department of Human Services. The session focused on what is emerging from the Independent APS Review, the main insights from Review consultations, how the Review is learning from international practice and what the Review panel sees as key challenges the APS will need to address in the future.
A video of the address (duration 1 hour and 5 minutes) is available above or on IPAA's Vimeo channel here.
A transcript of David's speech 'A Vision for Australia's Public Service' is available on the APS Review web site here.
