The role of AI in Australia in 2030: Policy Implications and the Nature of Industry in Society

On 18 August 2020, IPAA ACT and the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA) hosted an online event, The Role of AI in Australia in 2030: Policy Implications and the Nature of Industry in Society, filmed at the IPAA office in Barton.

The event was opened and chaired by David Hazlehurst, Deputy Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment and IPAA ACT Councillor. Dr Alan Finkel AO, Australia's Chief Scientist, gave the keynote presentation.

David then facilitated a discussion with panellists, Professor Genevieve Bell AO, Director of 3A Institute, Australian National University, Narelle Luchetti, Head of Division, Digital Economy and Technology, Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources and Dr Simon Barry, Deputy Director, Data 61.
