Program Manager (Capability)

Our small, dedicated team is looking for an experienced capability manager to help us deliver excellent capability programs for the public sector.

Role description

The program manager (capability) assists the capability design lead in managing the IPAA ACT program of work across the capability stream. They plan and execute a comprehensive program to meet stakeholder needs, working independently within a small team. The role involves frequent interaction and influencing of stakeholders and has accountability for all delivery aspects of the capability stream content. They work collaboratively, with a whole-of-IPAA approach, and will lead capability stream evaluation and continuous improvement activities to identify new opportunities and inform development of service offerings. 

Statement of responsibilities 

The program manager (capability): 

  • Leads the delivering a range of programs and events in the capability stream  
  • Work with the Capability Design lead to develop a holistic program of offerings and activities supporting IPAA ACT’s strategic objectives  
  • Plans and executes capability offerings and events  
  • Plans and manages resources and logistics to deliver capability offerings and events  
  • Supports the design, development and conceptualisation of ideas for initial capability offerings  
  • Researches and consults with a broad range of stakeholders to inform capability stream development 
  • Scans the environment to identify and analyse opportunities and scope options   
  • Develops and strengthens relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to support effective long-term collaboration  
  • Manages capability stream budgets 
  • Proactively implements changes to improve processes and program outcomes 
  • Develops an evaluation framework to review, analyse and evaluate capability offerings and produces information to inform future planning 
  • Supports function of various committees including Future Leaders and Inclusion committees 
  • Coaches and mentors team members to build and develop individual and team performance 

 

Skills and experience: 

  • Genuine interest in the public sector 
  • Extensive experience planning and delivering a range of capability programs 
  • Ability to professionally represent IPAA with clients, partners, and stakeholders 
  • Experience planning, initiating, and competing projects   
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality projects/programs on time and within budget 
  • Experience managing a team delivering multiple programs and events 
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple competing priorities with tight timeframes 
  • Knowledge of contemporary adult learning theory and practice 
  • Experience in the evaluation of programs 
  • Ability to analyse data and provide intelligence to identify opportunities and inform future activities 
  • Experience with Microsoft suite, CRMs (HubSpot) and event management software (Cvent)

Membership Services and Office Coordinator

Our small, dedicated corporate team is looking for a membership services and administration officer to manage relationships with our core stakeholders across the ACT and the federal public sector. The role will involve briefing members on their benefits, coordinating the renewal process, updating our CRM, reconciling credit card payments, office asset management, and general office duties to keep us ticking along.

Key responsibilities

  • Member support & relationship management:You will be the contact for IPAA ACT and members, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about membership benefits and services
  • Onboarding:Assist new members in the onboarding process, ensuring they have access to resources and information relevant to their membership level
  • Membership renewals:Coordinate the membership renewal process, send reminders, and assist members with the renewal process to maintain a high retention rate
  • CRM management:The ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date member records in the organisation’s database, ensuring data integrity is essential
  • Feedback and reporting: Collect member feedback and insights to help improve member services and report on member engagement and satisfaction
  • Business administration and payment processes: monthly reconciliation and banking
  • General office administration including asset management.

Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
  • Prior experience in a customer service or member services role including CRM experience, preferably HubSpot
  • An interest in the public sector.
  • Experience with Xero or MYOB desirable.
  • Must love dogs.
