Learning from Failure

IPAA ACT and the APSC present this expert panel to discuss the Shergold Report: Learning from Failure

IPAA has partnered with the Australian Public Service Commission to bring you this timely lunch event with keynote speaker, Professor Shergold AC. The Hon John Lloyd PSM, Australian Public Service Commissioner will provide introductory remarks.

Join us to hear Professor Shergold discuss his 2015 report, Learning from Failure: Why large government policy initiatives have gone so badly wrong in the past and how the chances of success in the future can be improved. Professor Shergold will reflect on the findings of the independent review that examined Government processes for developing and implementing large public programs and projects.

The review, led by Professor Shergold, followed the 2013 Royal Commission into the Home Insulation Program. All public servants engaged in program and project management should consider attending this event and be informed of the review's recommendations.
