Secretary Valedictory: Martin Bowles PSM

Join us to hear from Martin Bowles PSM as he gives his valedictory comments in a public address to IPAA.

IPAA would like to invite you to a valedictory address by Martin Bowles PSM, the former Secretary of the Department of Health, on Tuesday 17 October.

Martin stepped down from his role as Secretary on 1 September 2017, after 40 years’ public service. Prior to his term as Secretary of the Department of Health, which commenced in 2014, he also led the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. Prior to this, Martin was a public servant for the Queensland and NSW governments, before joining the Australian Public Service in 2006 to be a deputy Secretary at the Department of Defence and the Department of Climate Change and Energy.

The event will be hosted by Frances Adamson, the IPAA ACT President and Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Dr Martin Parkinson AC, PSM, Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, will provide opening remarks.

This event will be held at the National Portrait Gallery and will be filmed and made available on IPAA's vimeo channel, with the support of contentgroup.
