Unlocking Potential and BRANDit

In partnership with the APSC, IPAA will discuss progress against the 'Unlocking Potential' report and announce the winner of the BRANDit competition.

Join IPAA and the APSC for a partnered event to mark the anniversary of the Unlocking Potential report and celebrate the work of departments in implementing the review's recommendations. The underlying theme of the report is that change is in our hands: 'If not us, who? If not now, when?'

Three departments will showcase the exciting and innovative work they have undertaken to implement recommendations of the report. We will be asking you, the audience, to judge which department provides the best pitch on the day!

A key recommendation from the Unlocking Potential report was the development of a new employment brand for the APS, which led to the BRANDit competition. The winning tagline will be announced and unveiled at this event!

The event will be chaired by Dr Gordon de Brouwer PSM, Secretary of the Department of the Environment and Energy and President of IPAA ACT. The panel of judges will engage with the three departments as part of the pitch, and then be on hand for the brand unveil. Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM will announce the winner of the BRANDit competition.

The panel of judges who will speak at the event are:

  • Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM - Secretary, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
  • Holly Ransom - Chief Executive Officer, Emergent
  • The Hon John Lloyd PSM - Commissioner, Australian Public Service Commission
  • Irina Hayward - Head of Digital and Direct Strategy, BMF Advertising

All guests are invited to come and be part of this exciting event. We have experienced high levels of interest in recent events, so please register your place early to avoid missing out. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the event with the panel of judges.

Tickets close COB 28 Tuesday. If you wish to attend please email.
