Join IPAA and the Canberra Evaluation Forum network for a discussion with a panel of experts on the lessons learned through policy implementation experiences and their views on approaches to policy formulation for successful implementation, including the role of monitoring and evaluation.
This event has been inspired by the renewed discussion in the Australian Public Service (APS) regarding better approaches to implementing policy, driven by the Independent APS Review and an increasing narrative by the Government and Opposition around delivery by the APS, and the importance of well-considered policy implementation and execution. Central agencies are also looking at opportunities to improve the tracking and governance of entities’ implementation of election commitments and major policy initiatives.
