IPAA ACT, in partnership with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, invites you to register for a half-day conference on 'Maximising Value from Data: Navigating the Opportunities and Challenges' on Thursday 17 October.
Building on the appointment of the Interim National Data Commissioner in 2018 and data legislation expected to be introduced in 2020, it will showcase the progress being made in public sector data management, with a range of perspectives from across the sector. The conference will be future-focused, while linking to the Independent Review of the APS, where appropriate, recognising the importance of data to policymaking, program delivery and broader public administration. It builds on the Public Sector Data Integration: Unlocking the Value of Australia’s Public Data half-day conference held in November 2017.
Over two sessions, delegates will hear from leading experts in applied data and analytics, featuring Deborah Anton, Interim National Data Commissioner, Professor Abigail Payne from the Melbourne Institute of Applied Economic and Social Research, and David Kalisch, the Australian Statistician.
See our In Brief on Public Data for further reading.
