Informing Policy Development: The Importance of Engaging Early

Join IPAA for a breakfast discussion about communications and policy design.

IPAA will host an event that will highlight and discuss the importance of considering communication and stakeholder engagement strategies as a part of the policy development process, to ensure a better chance of effective policy delivery. While corporate communications play an important and necessary role, there is also a need for broader communications capability as part of good policy design skills; taking into account citizen engagement, user-centred design, behavioural insights and social licence.

We are pleased to welcome an opening address by Mike Mrdak AO, the Secretary of the Department of Communication and the Arts. This will be followed by a panel discussion hosted by Michael Manthorpe PSM, Commonwealth Ombudsman, with representatives from across the public sector.
