The Promise of Data in Government

Join IPAA and Dr David Gruen for a discussion on the future of data in the public service.

IPAA is pleased to host Dr David Gruen who was appointed the 16th Australian Statistician in December 2019. Dr Gruen will share his thoughts on the future of data in the public service. Having spent much of his career as a user of ABS data in previous roles at PM&C, Treasury and the Reserve Bank, and now as a data custodian as Australian Statistician, he brings a unique perspective to this important issue.

Dr Gruen will also provide his thoughts on the opportunities and threats from the increasing use of data, as well as discuss the importance of the new data profession in the APS.
