Online Event | A Little Less Conversation, A Little More Action: Design and Systems Thinking in the Public Sector

Join IPAA and the Australian Taxation Office for a live panel event on design and systems thinking.

IPAA is pleased to host an event in partnership with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on building knowledge, capability and advocacy for addressing large scale and complex government challenges through the use of design and systems thinking.

Government and the public service face increasingly complex challenges, which involve working at scale. Examples include health, employment services, superannuation and taxation systems. The expectations on public sector designers are changing as they work in larger systems, tackling increasing complexity, ambiguity and interconnectedness.

This panel will discuss how complex systems thinking has been applied in a range of different government agencies.

Participants will be engaged in activity to use the ATO’s new Systems-Led Design Model, as a way to approach a problem in their own organisation.
