2022 Annual Address to the APS: Progress on the path to effective stewardship

IPAA ACT, in partnership with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Australian Public Service Commission, presents the 2022 Annual Address to the APS.

Please join us to hear from keynote speaker Professor Glyn Davis AC, Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, who will deliver the Annual Address to the APS, together with Peter Woolcott AO, Australian Public Service Commissioner who will close the event.

The Annual Address to the APS will be chaired by Justine Greig, Deputy Secretary, Defence People, Department of Defence. Rebecca Skinner PSM, Chief Executive Officer, Services Australia and Jim Betts, Secretary Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts will sit on the panel.

Professor Davis’ keynote address will focus on stewardship and how the APS has steered the government through a number of transitions in 2022, and what it takes to do this effectively.

Dr Caroline Hughes will be providing the Welcome to Country. Dr Hughes is a proud Ngunnawal woman and Executive Director, Collections Services Group at AIATSIS.

We welcome you to join us at the National Press Club within the Parliamentary Triangle in Canberra. For those who cannot attend in-person, we will be live-streaming the address across the country via Microsoft Teams.
