IPAA ACT's inaugural Spirit of Service Awards Ceremony.

The winners of the inaugural Spirit of Service Awards will be announced at an Award Ceremony on the evening of Thursday 12 May at the National Arboretum in Canberra. The event will be held in-person and livestreamed across the country.

The 16 finalists for the 2021 Spirit of Service Awards have been selected from a strong field of 46 nominations from across the Australian and ACT public sector, demonstrative of initiatives that are bringing positive change to the Australian community. A winner and runner-up will be announced in the four categories below:


Recognising cross-agency and/or cross-jurisdiction initiatives where organisations have worked in a collaborative manner to deliver superior results and outcomes.


Recognising initiatives where communities have played a key role in the design of superior services and supports that impact positively on the quality of community life.


Recognising initiatives that develop and apply novel products, processes, services, technologies and/or management practices to create better experiences for the beneficiaries of the breakthrough.


Recognising initiatives that build the knowledge, skills and capabilities to address complex problems over time.




IPAA ACT acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of country throughout Australia, and their continuing connection to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
