Future Leaders Series | On the Couch | Virginia Haussegger AM

On Wednesday 14 February 2018, IPAA was pleased to kick off the year with a Future Leaders Series On the Couch event with Virginia Haussegger AM. Virginia spoke frankly to emerging and future leaders about her distinguished career as an award winning journalist and communications specialist and also shared her views on leadership, forward thinking and excellence in public administration.

Virginia is based at the University of Canberra’s Institute for Governance and Policy Analysis (IGPA), where she is an Adjunct Professor. She is also an award-winning television journalist, writer and commentator, whose extensive media career spans more than 25 years. For the past 15 years, Virginia has anchored the ABC’s flagship TV News in Canberra.

In 2014, Virginia was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for service to the community, as an advocate for women’s rights and gender equity, and to the media.
