On 18 May 2022, IPAA ACT and Proximity held a special event on Sovereign Capability and Supply Chains.

The panel included Glenys Beauchamp PSM, Principal Advisor at Proximity, Warren King, Expert Advisor at Proximity, Kristen Tilley, First Assistant Secretary at the Office of Supply Chain Resilience, and Michael Brennan, Chair at the Productivity Commission. The discussion was facilitated by Greg Divall, Expert Advisor at Proximity. The event was hosted by Justine Greig, Deputy Secretary of Defence People at the Department of Defence and IPAA ACT Councillor.

Looking at the renewed focus on sovereign capability, the panel examined the experience in handling supply chain disruptions in the context of the pandemic, and what it took to ensure we had adequate supplies of personal protective equipment in the early days of COVID-19.
