International Women’s Day 2023 – Embracing Equity in the Public Sector

L-R: Serena Williams, Amanda Story, Katherine Jones PSM, Dr Caroline Hughes, Sarah Collins, Ngaire Crawford, Alison Frame

On 1 March, we held an International Women's Day special breakfast to celebrate all women across the public and private sectors and the exceptional work that they do. With the theme #EmbraceEquity, we heard from a stellar line up of panellists who shared their insights on what it truly means to embrace equity within their own sphere of influence in the public sector.

We were pleased to have Dr Caroline Hughes, proud Ngunnawal woman and Executive Director of the Collections Services Group at AIATSIS, Alison Frame, Secretary of the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Sarah Collins, First Assistant Director-General of Portfolio and Transformation at the Australian Signals Directorate, and Ngaire Crawford, Insight Director at Isentia. We also had Serena Williams, Ngunnawal elder, who welcomed everyone to country and Amanda Story, Partner and Government Leader, MinterEllison, Canberra for the vote of thanks. The event was hosted by Katherine Jones PSM, Secretary, Attorney-General’s Department and IPAA ACT President.
